The TR-71U gives you two temperature measuring channels and the TR-72S gives you one channel for temperature and one for humidity. The present measurements for both channels are also displayed alternately on the main unit making it easy to know the current temperature and humidity in a flash.
TR-71U has one internal sensor for temperature and / or can outfitted with one or two external temperature sensors giving you the flexibility you need.
TR-72U comes equipped with an external two channel temperature and humidity sensor which can be removed to allow you to make use of the internal temperature sensor and connect an optional external temperature sensor of your choice.
Wide Range of Temperature Measurement: -60 °C to 155 °C
The external sensor that comes with the TR-71U can measure and record from -40 °C to 110°C, while optional sensors can give you a range of -60 °C to 155 °C. There is an array of optional external sensors to meet your every need.
Humidity Measurement Range: 10-95% RH
The two channel external sensor that comes with the TR-72U can measure and record temperature from 0-50degC and humidity from 10-95% RH.
Large Data Capacity: 8,000 Readings X 2 Channels
Each Channel can record up to 8,000 readings; giving you about one year of continuous recording at a recording interval of 60 minutes.
15 Recording Intervals / 2 Recording Methods
You can select from 15 recording intervals from one second to one hour.
There are also two methods of recording to chose from.
One time method:
Recording stops when 8,000 readings have been recorded.
Endless method :
When 8,000 readings have been recorded the oldest data is overwritten and recording continues.

Reliable Backup Function
We have eliminated the worry of losing data due to power loss or the switch being accidentally turned off.
When Battery Power becomes Low
When battery power becomes low a battery life warning will appear on the unit’s display indicating that the battery should be changed. If within a short time the battery is changed, measurement and recording will not be interrupted and there will be no data loss. If the battery is not changed the unit will automatically go into SLEEP mode whereby measurement and recording will stop but, due to our BACK UP FUNCTION, data will not be lost and will remain saved for one year.
When the Switch is turned OFF
If while recording the power switch is accidentally turned OFF, data will not be lost but will be saved for one year from the time it was switched OFF.
Note: Even if the unit is in sleep mode it needs battery power. Hence, a total loss of battery power or removal of the batteries will result in the loss of data.
One Year Continual Use on One Set of Batteries
Using our specially designed low energy consumption circuit this unit can run on one AA Alkaline batteries for up to one year of continued use. No need to worry about where you place it as the battery will allow you to measure and record over long periods of time whether the unit is in transit or in a distant place.
Note: Battery life will depend on the recording environment, recording interval, communication frequency, and ambient temperature. The above battery life test was carried out using brand new batteries and in no way do we guarantee a battery’s life.

Easy to use Windows comaptible software allows you to control all aspects of set up for any TR-71S/TR-72S unit, as well as to print, and to create text files, tables, and colorful graphs from the recorded data.

1. TR-72U’s sampling rate
a) In Measurement Mode :
When recording interval is 1 sec, 1 sec.
When recording interval is 2 sec. or more, 2 sec.
b) In Recording Mode :
Same as the recording interval you set. (Specifically, TR-72U record the
measured value right before the recording time.)

directly in Excell format
without sw, just with USB drivers.

Collecting Recorded Data via Infrared Communication
By using a Data Collector TR-57DCi, it is possible to download the recorded data from a TR-71Ui/72Ui via infrared communication. This function releases you from the burden of physically gathering the data loggers or taking a PC to the measurement location to collect data.

Checking Collected Data on the Spot (Data Collector)
When using a Data Collector, you can download recorded data from a TR-71Ui/72Ui, and view the data in graph or list form without connecting to your computer. It is also possible to confirm the occurrence of a warning from the data recorded by a TR-71Ui/72Ui for which the Warning Monitoring Function has been set.

Our special low energy consumption design gives the user one year of continuous operation with only one AA alkaline battery. As the battery allows for measurement and recording over long periods of time there is no need to worry about where you place it; whether it is in transit or in a distant place.
Battery life varies depending upon the type of battery, the measuring environment, the frequency of communication, and the ambient temperature in which it is used. The stated specifications are based on operations carried out with a new battery and are in no way a guarantee of your actual battery life.

Reliable Data Protection
With the reliable data protection function we have removed the worry about losing data when battery power becomes low.

When Battery Power is Low:
When the battery power becomes low, a battery life warning mark will appear in the Unit’s LCD display to show the low battery power status. If within a short time the battery is changed, measurement and recording will not be interrupted and there will be no data loss. If the battery power becomes even lower the Unit will automatically go into sleep mode. In sleep mode, measurement and recording will stop and protect recorded data until this point for the following 2 – 3 months.

When Switch is OFF:
Even if the power has been turned off, the recorded data will be saved.
If the battery is further left unchanged even after the Unit has entered sleep mode, or if the battery is left out of the Unit for some time, only then will all recorded data be lost.” spec
