1- Start installing the main station
_You must determine the location of the main station and determine the size of the hole required to install it. Usually, the intercom comes with a support to install the main station on the wall. This support has holes and screws to install it inside the wall.
_After taking the necessary measurements to determine the size and shape of the hole for the main station, the station must rise five feet above the ground, which is the average solution for short or tall people. The holes are determined using a pencil.
_ Holes are drilled on the wall in the four corners to install the intercom, using an electric drill, and a hole is made to enter the wires that connect the substation outside, with the main station. In the same way, the substations are installed and we leave a return line in case we want to maintain the intercom.
2- Connecting the wires
Attention first: The electricity must be disconnected from the main station while connecting the wires and the residents of the house must be alerted not to turn on the electricity during work and even during maintenance and repair of the intercom.
_In the normal installation of the substation with the main station in a house, the main station is connected only to the homeās electrical power, while the substation is connected to the main station via a multiwire cable. If you do not find this cable with the intercom, it can be purchased. An additional cable can also be purchased separately from stores that sell wireless radio equipment.
_The cable must be passed from the substation to the main station through holes in the windows in order to install and connect it, or through the internal extension. Since the cables from all the substations run on the main station, the size of the hole must be determined so that it can accommodate all the cables. It is preferable for the extension to be done internally through pipes inside the wall, in order to maintain the safety of the cables from external factors and to last a longer time.
So each substation will come out with a cable containing three wires, and it is possible that an extension must be connected to the substation. Each of the wires has a specific color that must be connected to the terminal pins that are high or located on the main station and the substation.Ā
3- Testing the operation of the intercom
_After completing the installation of intercoms in homes and connecting them to each other correctly, electricity must be connected to the main station, then make sure that the substations are working properly, and check the connections to the peripheral devices and the connections made to the wires to the main station. Thus, it can be said that learning how to install a home intercom is an easy matter that does not require a lot of experience.

_If you suspect that one of the sub-units is broken, it must be replaced with a new one, as the problem appears to be defects in the wiring, or a defect in the unit itself. There are types of sub-stations powered by batteries, so the batteries must be replaced regularly, making sure of the replacement date written on the cover, or the batteries, and verifying the sound quality.Ā
