Choosing the Wrong Door for the Space

Improper Track Installation

An unstable door can come from utilizing screws that are too short or weak for the track system. Check that brackets, rollers, and fasteners are rated for your door.

Skipping Wall Reinforcement

Before installing the track, make sure the wall has enough studs or header boards to support the door. Skipping this step can cause structural damage and the door off-track.

Failure to Install Door Stops

Door stops are often overlooked while installing hanging sliding doors. Door stops prevent the door from sliding off the track and damaging it. Without them, the door could slip off its rail or hit a wall, inflicting damage. To install sliding door properly, ensure that the track is level and securely fastened to the wall or ceiling.
